Strategic Stays was born from a love of hosting, a passion for property, and a desire to do things differently.
Our first home was a sweet old cottage on Lords Place in Orange — nothing fancy, but full of charm. We loved living in it and the memories it made. That was our first home and where this whole journey quietly began.
When life shifted and, we turned the cottage into a short-term rental and later we did the same with our second property on Prince Street. What started as a practical move quickly grew into a real passion. We loved hosting, the feedback from guests, the little details that make a stay special — and we realised we were actually pretty good at it.
Since then, both of our properties have consistently ranked in the top 5% of short-term rentals for comparable properties in Orange for revenue achieved. That hands-on experience became the foundation for Strategic Stays.
We didn’t come from real estate or hospitality — we came from real life. I spent nearly a decade underground in mining before making the move to spend more time with my family and build something of our own. We know what it’s like to want your property looked after properly and to make it work financially.
